Types of Work Visa

TYPE-C 

All the foreign nationals who are working in Angola in the petroleum industry or steel construction industry, apply for a type-c work visa.

TYPE-D 

All the foreign nationals who are working in Angola in the commercial or fishing sector need to have a typed work visa.

Angola's work visa is based on the types of work you want to join. These two types are available. Other than any individuals, if a company is shifting to Angola, then the company must apply for a work permit. The company can apply on the behalf of all employees. 

Angola Work Visa Requirements 

It is said that "any foreign individual who is trying to get a job in Angola must come up with some skill or profession that Angola is looking for or Angola don't have." There are some specific work visa requirements that every applicant has to fulfill while applying for his/her work visa. 

  •  Employees from any nationality can join for the jobs as long as 70% of the company's workforce is Angola public.
  • No Criminal Record: There should be no criminal record against you, it is against the rules of a work visa. A person with any criminal record is not allowed to go to Angola. It is the most common requirement that most countries want from other nationalities.
  • Nationality Record: The individual can belong to any nationality except Angola. Any Angolan citizen living in a different country cannot apply for a visa to enter Angola.
  • Scholarship Record: The individual should not have any scholarship from Angola. Any individual having a scholarship received from any Angolan entity cannot apply for the visa. If the individual has worked with a company working in Angola, the application will get rejected.
  • Employment Contract : Any individual applying for a work visa should have an employment contract or the promise of employment.
  • Overall Certification: It is necessary to keep a certificate that contains all your qualifications. It helps them to go through all your qualifications that are required to check.
  • The age should be 18: The applicant should be at least 18 years old if he/she is planning to travel on a work visa. Under 18 is not believed to be qualified enough to travel this long. 

Process 

The basic required documents are:

  • A letter from you to the Embassy.
  • Print of Online Application form that you filled out.
  • Passport's photocopy
  • 2 passport size photos

The paperwork also includes: 

  • Employment contract
  • Criminal record from applicant's country.
  • A test report that shows the good health condition of the applicant.
  • All academic and professional certificates that applicants have. (They can give some boost to an applicant's report.) 

Time and Cost 

As per the law, the work visas should be provided within 15 days but the ground reality is that it takes up to two to three months to complete. Work visas usually cost around $100
